Korpikuusikko -socks are inspired by the Finnish forest spruces, where old spruce trees stand tall and a bit shaggy in the dim and quiet forest of summer or against the snowy background of winter.

Size: 37-39 (40-41)
Measurements of the finished sock:
stem height 14(14) cm
stem width 12(13) cm
foot length 24-25(25-26) cm
foot width 11(12) cm
Gauge: 23 sts x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm plain needle size 3.5 mm
Yarn: DK wool sock yarn (recommended Vuonuen Pentti wool sock yarn (100 g = 240 m))

Wire thread:
Main colour: 70(80) g of the recommended yarn or at least 170(200) m of other DK yarn.
Contrast colour 1: (trim/heel end) 25 g of the recommended yarn or at least 70 m of DK heavy yarn
Contrast colour 2: (fir beavers) 10 g of the recommended yarn or at least 30 m DK.
Contrast colour 3: (fir trunks) about 7 m of any fingering or sport weight wool yarn.
